Every year when Fashion Week rolls around, I always watch the models come down the runway and think “ooooh, that’s a trend I love” or “blech. I’m not wearing that.” This fall there are quite a few trends that I love and I thought I’d share some that I think are easy to pull off and also easy to put together.
First up: Winter Whites. I know the old saying of not wearing wearing white after labor day, but this has been broken for a while by winter white styles. When I say winter white- I mean white clothes in luxe warm fabrics- wool, thick blends, etc.
Notice there aren’t any white sundresses, just basics in white. They’re still FALL clothes, just in another color. I love trends that are color related because I feel like they are easier to shop for. If you don’t love white, you can do a cream or ivory. This trend has been around for a few years and as you can see above, It is still going strong. The good thing about an older trend- is that there are quite a few options around. Here are some pants:
Pair any of these pants with a white sweater or blouse for a polished and chic look.
If you don’t want to do the white on white trend, invest in a white coat and accessories:
A word of caution. White shoes DO exist, but please be veeeeeery careful when doing an entire white ensemble. I usually pair black pointed toe heels with white pants. White shoes in the fall still give me a bit of the heeby jeebies, so just go with black or a bright color. The key is basic and clean. Yes, white clothes show dirt, so it’s hard to pull off, but when you do it look FABULOUS.
Go forth and rock some white!

Adriele
