One of the things I love about Fall (and there’s a lot) is breaking out the sweaters. I love being comfy and cozy while still looking stylish. I know sometimes people think that sweaters just add bulk, but I beg to differ. If you purchase thin sweaters with unique detailing, they look great and you don’t feel like you’re in a wool straight jacket.

AdrieleFall-01I love this sweater because it’s a darker cream color which goes well with my incredibly fair skin, and this cowl neck is pretty much the coolest thing ever. It was stitched with an extra layer of material just under the cowl so it lays much fuller than it normally would without. It’s less drapey and more structured.

AdrieleFall-04I paired it with my favorite leopard pointed toe flats so I had focus points from head to toe. Throw on my trusty dark denim skinnies and my go-to tote and I was ready to go!

AdrieleFall-03As you can see I have my favorite Stella & Dot bracelets on. I wear at least one of them almost every day.

Style tip: chunky/thick sweaters are in style right now, but let’s face it, they make you look like you gained at least 5 lbs when you put them on. Not ok in my book. Opt for a thinner sweater with a tighter weave to make you look slim. If you want more warmth, add a scarf over it. It gives the same visual look as a cowl neck and you’d be surprised how much warmer you feel. That’s a secret of french women. They don’t wear coats until it gets COLD outside. They just rock scarves, and honestly, it surprisingly works.

I hope this inspires you to wear a sweater and still feel stylish and fabulous doing it!

XO,
Adriele
