So chambray and denim are kind of interchangeable when I talk about the use of the shirt in my post. They aren’t- chambray is a plain weave and denim is a twill woven fabric, but that doesn’t matter today!

Basically, these shirts can be super comfortable and be work a myriad of ways. I prefer the chambray because they are softer and lay a bit better on you- ergo you looking better. Yes, if you have a denim shirt, you can wear it, but if you don’t, go grab one from Target, Loft. Gap, etc. (I linked directly to the shirt, so go have a look!)

My vote is always for a darker color of chambray (or denim), but lighter works as well. Here’s some ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe with the help of my fellow bloggers:

With dark jeans and fabulous shoes:

With a skirt:

It really is a versatile piece. You can pair it with a statement necklace and some jeans, or some black skinnies and head out the door. Take a basic pencil skirt and add a chambray top and you automatically have a great outfit for dinner or even to grab a coffee. It’s such a phenomenal latering item and goes with almost anything!

If you don’t already have one, I invite you to find one you like and add it into the wardrobe rotation.

Happy chambray hunting!

Adriele
