I was very fortunate to grow up going to the ballet and symphony multiple times throughout the school year due to the amazing magnet schools in my city. When I mentioned to my husband how much I loved the Nutcracker, he responded “Never been.” Incredulous at his response, I began to fire questions at him: “Never been to the Nutcracker?” “Have you been to a ballet?” “Seriously?” “No, really. How have you never attended a ballet?” Poor guy.
Needless to say, he texted me back and told me we had tickets to attend the Saturday night performance. (Check out the initiative!)
I ADORE a chance to get dressed up and go out every once and a while. After a bit of thought, this is what I put together:
