Here’s a quick Outfit of the Day shot. I’m still in some pre-maternity clothes. I’m going to wear maxi dresses until I can’t fit into them anymore. 🙂 This is a favorite of mine from The Gap.

Baby update:

He’s kicking like CRAZY and scooting around in there, especially at night. I was watching soccer on Tues night and he was inside kicking the entire time. Ian loves it. He thinks the baby is excited for the World Cup next month. We’ll see. I can still sleep at night, so that’s a plus!

I still feel sick some days, which is annoying because I thought this morning sickness was ending at the beginning of the 2nd trimester. Nope! I’m apparently one of those special people that gets sick at night. Sometimes in the middle of the night for no reason. Whoohoo! Oh well, it is what it is.

We went on a trip to Colorado over Memorial Day weekend and went hiking. Since I haven’t been able to exercise at ALL because of my slipped disk (still in physical therapy), the hike combined with high altitude was harder than I remember. 🙂 It was gorgeous and worth it, plus I know exercise is great for the baby, so I went for it.


I no longer feel gross and huge, he seems compacted in there, so I can actually move. I hear that I will eventually feel gross and huge AGAIN in a few months, so I’m enjoying my bump right now.

The nursery is coming along! The crib and the dresser/changing table arrived and we cleared out the nursery (formerly a guest room) and it looks like a NURSERY now! It’s so exciting! I know I’m only halfway there, but I am such a planner and I LOVE watching his nursery come together. Makes this feel more real. Not that it doesn’t already, but it’s just fun.
