I am a complete handbag nut. I love them. No seriously, I looooooove them. My husband has to drag me away from the handbag sections of stores. When we go to Harrods in London, there are ROOMS of handbags and it is glorious. Needless to say, I have a problem.

This brings me to the diaper bag. I am not going to carry a handbag AND a baby bag, so I needed to find something I loved that I could stand carrying all day every day. Let me just tell you, that is a DAUNTING task. I’ve also heard that these bags need to be somewhat functional (wah-waaaaaaaaaaa) so I needed to find something that wouldn’t drive me nuts trying to get into it and find things.

Here are a few that I love:

There is also an amazing company called “Better Life Bags” and they will customize a bag and make you one based on the materials and patterns you pick. PLUS they have a fabulous story and the proceeds from the bag really go to help people in need. Like I said- amazing. They also make handbags too, so you should check them out! Here’s one Kate designed from the Small Things Blog for her little one:

I have friends (you know who you are,) that have multiple diaper bags for different situations, so only having one bag isn’t an option for them. I know that eventually I will grab a diaper and wipes to throw them in my purse, but I’m not there yet, so these are some great options. I have one diaper bag thus far. I’m sure I will fall into that “multiple bags” category.

I can hear my husband groaning as he reads that. 🙂

I know that you may feel like you’re losing a bit of yourself once you become a mommy, but this is a great way to still show your personal style and be unique from everyone else. I didn’t even mention brands like Vera Bradley, Diaper Dude (for the Daddy’s), Tim and Leslie or Carter’s- to name a few. Also, no one wants a diaper bag that everyone else has, so as an alternative to the bigger brands, check out Etsy!

I hope this helps you find something that suits your needs and style.

Have a great day!
