Truth be told, he’s technically 13.5 months old at this point, but he was teething at his one year mark and no one wants screamy baby for a photoshoot. And then we tried to coordinate a day shoot with Ian’s schedule and that was… difficult. Needless to say, here we are with our little man!

AJD’s outfits are all Baby Gap and the adorable bowtie (and suspenders you can’t see) are c/o Sweet n Swag. Sooooo cute.
This has been the best year of my life. We couldn’t be more in love with this little one. He has 6 teeth, weigh 28lbs and needs a haircut every month. He’s basically a toddler which is INSANE. Always happy (now that he’s not teething), sleeps through the night, and eats a TON. His favorite color is red (he always picks out red anything- clothes, toys, pages on books, etc), is walking and already loves kicking a soccer ball (while holding our hands for balance). He says “Dada, Mama, dog, blue, ta-da, stop, and ba-ba. Ian calls him Bubba, so if you ask him who Bubba is, he pats his own chest. I die. It’s adorable. He also signs please, “all done” and more, which is key since the kid eats a ridiculous amount of food. Ex: breakfast is usually 1.5 bowls of oatmeal, 3 turkey sausage links and a cup of Cheerios. I’m not even kidding. Can you imagine how much he’ll eat as a teenager??? Oh! And if you ask if he is hungry, he’ll say “Mmmmmmm!” Side note, we go to Chic-Fil-A so much with friends and family, he knows it. By the logo. Hold up a CFA sack? “Mmmmmmmm!” Go through the drive-thru? “Mmmmmmm!” Good thing they have healthy options for this growing boy!
I absolutely LOVE being a mom. He is currently going through a “I want mommy” stage which basically means he always prefers me to other people, but I hear that goes away, so I’m soaking it all up now. 😉 God knew I couldn’t handle a difficult kid, so I appreciate his chillness. Looking forward to his next year!
Also, my favorite outtake. He was not pleased at first that we put him down and walked off.
