No pictures were retouched or edited so you can see exactly what these lashes look like. (And I didn’t want to do my makeup so you would get an accurate look at the before and after.)
This may very well be my most favorite beauty treatment I get done. I have red/clear eyelashes- combined those with my dark drown eyes, I look like I have tiny little weird eyes without mascara on. This is ALWAYS when I get asked if I’m sick- without the mascara.
So I begrudgingly apply mascara daily for years, and now I have an alternative to the daily mascara battle: eyelash tinting.
Basically, you go in and they apply the color you pick- brown, brown black, or black (always my vote), and they apply it you your lashes from 20 min, wipe them clean and BOOM there is color left behind.
It is THE BEST “lazy person” treatment because I basically already look 100% better than normal with eyelashes that you can actually see, They are permanant, but fall out at the same rate as a normal eyelash sheds. Easy. Not painful. BEST $25 investment ever! It doesn’t smudge off during the day like mascara does, nor does it fade or flake off into your eye. It’s insanely brilliant! I have posted a full face pic below with zero photoshopping, so you can get the gist of what I’m talking about.
Added bonus- your lashes get longer because you’re not putting mascara on them every single day and having to remove it every night! You will notice that they seem to get longer and fuller only because they get to rest. It makes a world of difference!
Also, you’re not wiggling the mascara wand at the base of your eyelashes (so you don’t have the dreaded spot that has no mascara and looks weird) which usually equals mascara all over my lids.
Other options:
You can also get your lashes semi permanently curled- that’s coming soon
OR
You can get eyelash extensions. My post and video over the weekend will be discussing the three options and who should get them, what would be the best choice.
I’m about the new beauty treatments, so it there’s one you love or one you want me to try, leave it in the comments!

Update: The FDA just announced they don’t recommend dying eyelashes or eyebrows! Here’s the excerpt from the article:
“Don’t dye eyelashes and eyebrows. No color additives are approved by FDA for permanent dyeing or tinting of eyelashes and eyebrows. Permanent eyelash and eyebrow tints and dyes have been known to cause serious eye injuries.”
If you want to read the full article, it’s linked here.
I need to do this!!! My eyelashes are just like yours! I’ve got good skin so can go without makeup but never without mascara!! Ha!

Wow they look awesome! Can I ask where you get them done? I live in the Wichita area and would love to know your salon. Thanks so much!
Susanne.
Susanne, I get them done by Cynthia, Ideal Beauty Spa and Lash Studio – (316) 259-5199.
My salon is dermatology based, and they advised since the FDA will no longer approve eyelash dyeing as a safe procedure, they are discontinuing that service. I wonder if you should footnote this blog. This may not be a safe procedure based on current information. 31 Dec 2017.
Thank you for the info Ellen!!
