I will be the first to admit that I still enjoy a good excuse to dress up, however, I hate being cold. Enter this pink wool skirt. I wanted something for date night that was Valentine’s Day appropriate, but still fairly casual. (As you know, our Vday tradition is Chipotle.) This felt comfortable enough for work but still cute enough to wear out afterward- Chipotle or not.
Here’s why I love a brightly colored wool skirt- it’s versatile. I can wear it all winter long pairing it with anything from a ladylike blouse to a chunky turtleneck, and it still works well once spring finally comes along- due to the adorable pastel hue. If you’ve been paying attention pastels during the winter months has been a thing for years now (including winter white!) so you can basically wear them as much as you want. Wool means it can be worn all winter long and through springtime- even when the weather starts warming up. Also, it’s a pop of color, which we know I love.
Now on to this London themed t-shirt from J.Crew. Prepare to see me in this all. the. time. Because, London.
These Sam Eldeman boots are on repeat because I LOVE how comfortable they are and the slouchiness appeals to my general comfort level- they’re not tight and they keep my legs warm. Paried with this Diane Von Furstenburg coat and I’m good to go. Side note- this coat was part of my trial of Rent The Runway Unlimited and right now I’m meh about the entire experience. I’ll keep you updated about that.

Today I also have the lovely opportunity of guest co-hosting a link up with the fabulous Michelle (Michelle’s Paige – New York-based) and Ana Luiza (Northwest Blonde – Seattle-based). If you’ve followed my blog for any length of time, you’ll remember me co-hosting before. Michelle is a fellow sports and fashion fan, so she’s like soul sister from NY. 🙂 Ana Luiza has some of the most fabulous drool-worthy bags and shoes ever, and I’m alway obsessed with her posts. Both are amazing and huge favorites of mine!
