Spring is here, and I am loving the ability to wear shorter dresses and see beautiful flowers wherever I go! Tulips are a favorite of mine and I need to figure out where to grow some in my garden. (Although, I’m not a great gardener, guys.) Pink tulips are my favorite followed by red, but I would take ANY someone would give me. They’re just so beautiful!

This dress is the infamous Scotch Guard dress. If you didn’t get a chance to read my post about that, check it out here. So in addition to the fact that I was so busy watching The Crown, I grabbed a can of Scotch Guard instead of spray starch and literally sprayed and ironed the back of my dress. I finally realized the smell seemed off, looked down…. you see where this is going. I love this dress and it was originally my chosen Easter dress, but I opted for a longer option to chase Alexander around. 🙂 Smart move.

Another weird thing about this dress is the fact that it is a girls’ XL. Specifically this one from the Victoria Beckham for Target collection. I’m a size small in the women’s line (not an XS- which is confusing) but I fit in a girls’ XL. So odd. It further proves my point that you should ignore the size label on the tag and just wear what FITS.

I like the drop hem combined with the pleats in addition to this beautiful light blue gingham pattern. I paired them with my favorite nude dress shoe (under $80 but looks and feels identical to the Jimmy Choo) and a few other simple accessories. Since the dress is short, I made sure to keep the heels basic and the jewelry elegant, but not frumpy. The high neck begs for some sort of embellishment, but not too much.

If you look closely, you will see that I’m wearing two separate necklaces instead of one. I really like the idea of stacking coordinating necklaces together to create one larger statement look. This can be done with color, or similar size and shape. As both were smaller clear crystal statement pieces, I just chose the heavier one to be placed lower and the lighter one I clasped on a shorter ring on the chain. From afar it just looks like one necklace!

The tote bag and the sunglasses are both inexpensive and I’ve linked them if you want to get the exact options I have. I’m trying to make effort to find cute styles and accessories in lower price points because then you have more options for shopping! The bag is fantastic, btw.

I’m gravitating to whites and blues this spring and my wardrobe is starting to reflect that. I’m going to try to get some brighter colors, but I can already tell that blue and white will be my comfort zone this spring. I hope you all had a great weekend!!
