I know what you’re thinking: “Adriele, that’s not a picture of a Halloween outfit.” You’re right, it’s not. I’ve been joking my costume is called “mom doesn’t want to be cold while trick or treating.” LOL. I’m only slightly kidding. That being said, I get cold often, and crankiness frequently arrives with that coldness. So in attempts to keep everyone happy, I decided this past Saturday to dress warmly for Trunk or Treat at our church.

I am SO THANKFUL I did! I wasn’t cold at all, and was completely cheerful the entire time! So my tips for staying warm and still looking cute:
- Ski/Snowboard socks under boots
- Beanie or knit that covers your ears (this is key)
- Gloves or mittens
If you need more tips, you can check out my invisible layers post to see how to layer under the costume you already have planned. If you don’t have a costume yet, here are a few last minute ideas:
Get cat ears on a headband and draw whiskers on your face with eyeliner
Striped shirt, black pants, black beanie + mask = burglar
Striped shirt, beret, skinny pants, red lipstick + baguette = french lady
All white outfit + hair buns over ears = Princess Leia
Little Black Dress, pearls + sunglasses = Breakfast at Tiffany’s
Obviously, I pick things that involve stripes because we all know I’m #TeamStripes. If you still need an outfit- hit up Target or Party City because costumes usually go on sale on Halloween! Have a great time tomorrow night!!
It’s link-up time! Last week our theme was “Fall Florals” and we loved all of your submissions! Our favorites are Kate from The Student’s Wife, Lindsey at Brushing Our Way Through Life, and Deena from Shoes to Shiraz! Thanks for linking up, ladies!!!
