June 1st is a favorite for me because it’s my parent’s anniversary (and it’s National Doughnut Day)! My parents met when they were just 12 and 13 and my dad (still to this day) remembers exactly what she was wearing when he saw her for the first time. How cute is that??? She’s put up with 50+ years of his bad jokes. HA! I kid, but my mom is way funnier. I love those two and appreciate the example they set for me about how to love and grow old together. I have the most adorable parents and wish them a very happy anniversary.
Ok, on to the favorites. Last week I tried micro needling at Beauty Dot Spa and while I was there, they gave me a sample of the SkinCeuticals Phyto Corrective Gel to help hydrate my skin without irritating it and now I’m hooked! It’s so amazing and I’ve added it to my morning/evening routine. Keep in mind my skin had just been needled alllllll over (review coming soon) so when I say this stuff is awesome, I’m not kidding. My UBER sensitive skin loved it, so it will work on all skin types without irritation. The smell is a bit medicinal, but honestly, as long as it’s not perfumey, I’m fine with that. (It doesn’t hurt that it’s my favorite color of green EVER.)
You’re going to need these $20 sandals in your life this summer.
Alright, I know the whole jumpsuit thing isn’t normally my favorite but I just got this one (under $26) that made me eat my words. So cute. So comfortable. Prepare to see me in this all the time. Buy it before it sells out. It’s a good gateway jumpsuit for those who hate jumpsuits. 😉
I’ve been wearing more eyeliner and this is, hands down, the best eyeliner I have ever found. Fair-skinned folks- I would suggest Chocolate Shimmer or Espresso for summer.
Oh! And while I’m at it, I got a sample of this cream eyeshadow stick and it’s the only one I’ve EVER FOUND that doesn’t need a primer. I use the shade Vanilla and then just build whatever color I want on top of it. (Which we all know is just blush in my crease 98% of the time.) It stays on all day, so if you need a new summer shadow, look no further.
I don’t even have an Instant Pot, but now I want one to make Coq au Vin. This video makes it look SO EASY and good! Now I’m hungry. I’m going to go find a doughnut. 😉
