I’m feeling quite patriotic in this look, but love that it’s not a “typical” red, white, and blue outfit with stars all over it. I wanted to demonstrate a chic way to style a patriotic look for this week’s upcoming festivities.
I paired a crisp white button up with these amazing high waisted linen blend pants. I’m in love with the wide leg cropped look, but as a petite gal, I have to wear high heels or I look a bit stumpy. This trend looks fabulous on everyone, it just depends where the cropped hem of the pants hits you. The idea is to elongate the leg, so the shorter you are, the higher up the hem should come on your leg. If you’re 6’1, the crop can hit right above your ankle and your natural heigh will lengthen the leg. If you’re shorter than that, I suggest a higher crop. The wider the pant leg, the easier it is to crop higher. Think of culottes and go shorter to show more of your calf, but make sure they’re always several inches below your knee. I need to take these up a few inches, honestly.

This week we have several pool days planned and Ian is taking the last half of the week off, so it will be nice to have him home during the day! I hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July!

You’ve nailed it Adriele! I really love your outfit – crisp, modern and stylish! xx
I love a non-traditional patriotic look. Those pants look fabulous on you.
Adriele, this outfit is absolutely stunning! You styled the wide legged crop pants perfectly and I just love them with the white button down for a chic and classy look. And of course, the red scarf on your wrist is so great! Thanks so much for the feature today! It was such a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning. Happy 4th to you!

Wow, I always love the look of paperbag waist pants on ladies, but never buy them. Dont know why? I love these pants on you, they look great, and the white top and heels just give the whole look even more style. I love that you just added a bit of red, and I like a bit of subtlety with a patriotic look myself.
Happy 4th!
