I hope you had a great 4th of July! We had a good time with friends that morning and family that evening! Ian ended up having to go into work since the international trade market doesn’t close for American holidays, 😉 so we had some friends come to swim with Alexander and me in the morning. Speaking of Alexander, we found out that he HATES fireworks. Because of that, we left our family party early and Ian and I hung out at home and watched Independence Day. Haha, I love me some 90’s Will Smith movies.
If you missed it, I did a quick video on my favorite new Ray-Ban sunglasses over on IG TV. You can watch it here. If you want links to the exact sunglasses, you can shop them here!
I got this adorable tank on sale this week during the LOFT sale and this cute dress! The tank runs big, so I sized down.
Bobbi Brown sent me a new foundation this week and I LOVE IT!!! It’s long-wearing and keeps my skin matte which is key for me in the summer. The lightest shade is actually fair enough for me (!!!) and the primer they sent with it is excellent. I highly recommend both!
My mom watched Alexander so I could go to Target alone (muhahahahaha!!!!) and I ended up getting a few things to help organize my office a bit. I love these boxes to hold my new stationary and this padfolio to keep all of my notes for the blog. I still prefer to takes notes on a legal pad with pens, so this was perfect to throw into my bag!
July 4th always has great sales, and I picked up this tote from Sole Society along with this clutch. I’m apparently having a “knobby knit” stage right now- I blame Jo from Magnolia with her gorgeous pillows.
I’ve really been eyeing this new blender for all of the smoothies I’ve been making.
It was time to get rid of the glider we had in Alexander’s room but still needed a chair to read books in. I didn’t want a loveseat because they take up too much room, but still needed a “two bum chair.” We just got this amazing armchair that both Ian and I can sit in at the same time. Granted, that never happens, it’s just Alexander and one of us, but I appreciate the width!
Also, if you live locally, Imagine That Toys has Big Wheels and we had to get one for Alexander. He’s a bit small for it, but Ian put it together yesterday and we’re SO EXCITED to share this big part of our childhood with him. This is a perfect example of when we make him try something because we loved it as kids. Ha, this happens a lot.
Today we’re trying out Ian’s new kayak on the lake, so I’m sure I’ll have some interesting updates for you over on Instagram stories. Wish us luck!
