It’s been a week since my trip to KC for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and since public access begins on Friday (at 2 am central), I wanted to share my thoughts on the things I’ve purchased so far. I’ve been trying things on and wearing them since last Thursday and now I have a good gage about what I’m sending back, what I LOVE, and what I ended up ordering online.

yellow coat •  tee •  jeans •  grey coat

Boiled wool coats will continue to be a trend you see this year and I have two different styles to share in this popular fabric. This yellow J. Crew option comes in five colors, but I LOVED this shade the most. It’s a cheery color and can be worn year-round (in case you have long winters that skip over spring). The tailored coat from J. Crew I ordered a size 0 because a 2 felt big. This grey coat is a bit less expensive ($30) but it felt a bit cheap. The material seemed flimsy, the cut was “meh” – which was disappointing because it could have been GREAT. It wasn’t, so I’m saying no to the grey.

striped tee •  handbag •  leggings •  duck boots

This tee shirt is made out of a material made for fall. It’s thicker than a normal cotton tee and the sleeves are longer. Super cute! and I got it in my typical size small and it fits perfectly. This handbag was a great decision because I can fit everything in it. I’m actually sending it back in order to get the black version (it also comes in blush pink) because I got his color in the smaller crossbody version. The leggings I have on are the BEST LEGGINGS EVER. They’re only $35 and worth every penny. I get them in a small and they’re great! These duck boots are my new favorite and I looooove them! So warm and cozy!

aqua sweater •  grey sweater

I have majorly fallen in love with these sweaters (under $50). I got both in XS which means you need to size down from your normal size. The aqua sweater is a lighter material and the grey sweater is a thicker weave and a heavier sweater. Both are ADORABLE on and come in multiple colors. Highly, highly recommend both of these sweaters!

moto leather leggings  •  black boots  •  red skirt

These leggings have been on my wishlist since LAST Nordstrom sale. I have the non-moto version and love them so much I knew I’d be happy with this purchase. The boots are super cute and comfortable, but I ended up returning them because they didn’t feel like “me.” This beautiful skirt is a wonderful heavy weight- which will keep me warm this fall/winter and will keep from blowing up in Kansas winds.

Since I will be sending some things back, here are the things I’ve ordered online, but they haven’t arrived yet.

If you have any questions, I can answer them on the blog below or feel free to ask over on Instagram! Oh, and yes, I ordered Uggs to wear around the house. I will NOT be wearing them in public – just in case you thought I had mellowed in my old age. NOPE!!! Uggs and leggings are not to be worn in public! 😉
