It’s been a wonderful week! Ian took Monday off work so we got to have a family day on Monday which was lovely. We took Alexander to the new library downtown and it was SO FUN!

I’ve been obsessed with my Instant Pot and the easiest and recipe I’ve found so far is chicken + a jar of salsa. 14 min on high and then I shred the chicken for delicious chicken tacos! I also tried a can of Rotel and taco seasoning. Both are tasty goodness and super easy.

My blogging friend Amy Ann found this amazing Gucci interlocking G belt dupe and it’s super cute at a tiny fraction of the cost!

The weather has been cooling off at night and I love having the windows open! The fresh smell of the outdoors combined with this candle in the scent “Leaves” are always my sign that fall is coming.

Although I love to bake, more often than not I’m missing an ingredient- so my standby is these snickerdoodle cookies. I love them and they’re a great option to take to friends. I used to make my uncle’s famous PB cookies, but since Alexander is allergic to peanuts, I substituted these in their place. So tasty! If your cookies get hard overnight, throw a piece of bread in the bag and it will keep them soft and delicious.

These boots were a purchase from last year and I’m so happy they brought them back! They’re incredibly cute and they go with everything. Such a great staple!

I wore this $5 lip crayon yesterday and the color was amazing, it stayed in place, and the color Haute Red is perfect for fall!!!

This weekend I plan to bake, relax, and swap out my summer closet for fall. I may do a video for IGTV showing some closet hacks I’ve learned over the years, so stay tuned for that! Have a great weekend and I hope all of you in the southeast are staying safe from the hurricane!
